February was a good month for Ball Project.
2 grants were made during the month:
$500 for work with the Zimbabwe Paralympics – this grant was generously matched by another Ball Project partner, so the total grant was $1,000. These funds will be used to buy balls & sports equipment for the Zimbabwe Paralympic team & other disabled athletes in Zimbabwe.
$1,000 for a village soccer team in Ukraine – this grant will establish a village team & provide balls, goals, nets & training cones for the new team.
We will keep you posted on these projects as we get updates from our partners.
We are currently evaluating how to effectively with local community organizations to help with community, rugby & other sport development around the World Cup of Rugby which happens this year in New Zealand. Unfortunately Team Ball Project will not be attending the event. But hopefully some of our friends & partners will be able to be there.
You can follow Ball Project on Twitter – @BallProject & you can also find Ball Project on Facebook.
Thank you for the support & encouragement & thank you for helping children play.
