Happy New Year everyone!
Many thanks to our partners, advisers & donors for making 2013 our best year yet at helping children play by getting balls & sports equipment to community leaders & coaches.
Here’s a great short summary from Dreams Alive Project our partner based in Abuja, Nigeria:
“In 2013, we gave out 120+ Ball Project soccer balls to sports leaders, schools (formal and informal), communities and other organizations. Among the beneficiaries is a community which is about 1,000 kilometers from Abuja. It’s one of the least reached peoples group in Nigeria. The children in one of the remote villages have never seen a soccer ball much less of playing with one. The soccer balls I gave to them opened the door into their hearts and community.
In 2013, I started off in January to build a team, not just a sports team, but a multitask team. In the course of the year, I gave leadership to the team and as the year progressed I began playing the role of a mentor. In the years ahead, I would focus on maturing them in life, leadership and entrepreneurship.
Also, in 2013 I set my heart on reading several books every month and I was able to read 30+ books. In 2014, I am setting a higher goal of reading between 50 – 100 books and with the Kindle, I am sure that I would be able to achieve the goal.
The year 2014 will be for me a year of consolidation and to also develop teams in other cities in Nigeria.
Thanks for your investments in my life.”
Thanks to Dreams Alive Project & all of our other fantastic partners around the world for helping their communities & helping children play.
