An update from one of our partners working in Haiti:
Nou Hope works in the central plateau of Haiti with a couple remote villages with little access to resources.
On our most recent trip, we distributed a few balls and a pump as well as Ball Project funds (to be used for additional equipment and leadership training with Ambassadors in Sport in Haiti).
Before we arrived, kids played soccer with small balls or limes and the community soccer team was using deflated balls.
A 16 year old boy gets the kids together in the village to play soccer. We are sending another boy to the Ambassadors in Sport training in Port au Prince. He will find another leader or two from surrounding villages to take with him so they can form a network of teams.
We are grateful, as always, for our partners helping children by helping children play.
