If you have ever wondered what the funds from a Ball Project grant is used for, wonder no more.
Here is an update from Nigeria that breaks down how a Ball Project grant was spent & some of what was accomplished. (only $1,000 was from Ball Project)

Below is the breakdown of expenditure of $2000 (N308,000.00) received for the Community Cup Soccer Tournament:
1. 50 soccer balls = N100,000.00
2. 1 Football net = N20,000.00
3. 8 sets of Jerseys = N120,000.00
4. 1 Trophy = N18,000.00
5. 5 Whistles = N5000.00
6. 2 piece goal post = N20,000.00
7. Logistics = N40,000.00
Total = N323,000.00
Find attached receipts of balls and other sports equipments bought with BP funds for the tournament and also receipt for soccer + other balls + net bought with the $1000 (N154,000.00) received from BP.
1. 15 Soccer balls sent to Ghana through EA for coaches in Ashaiman who I had a training with in May 31st 2014.
2. Gave 25 soccer balls to participants during the Sports Leadership Training from 13th – 26th July 2014 in Abuja.
