A good friend & key Ball Project partner passed away suddenly & unexpectedly last week.

We met in 1999 while doing a 3 month course together in Wellington, South Africa. We liked each other, respected each other & irritated each other from the start.

A few years later we just liked each other & respected each other.

He had great gifts for getting things done, encouraging, leading, serving & helping kids play.

He also had an amazing gift for finding great projects & partners in obscure out of the way places. He somehow could find local community leaders, teachers, coaches & volunteers doing great projects that needed just a few balls to really accellerate their vision.

I am grateful for so many things:  his friendship, his faith, his sacrifice, his help, his work, his great attitude, his commitment to his family & team & South Africa & all of Africa.

He was loved & he will be missed.
