P, a Cameroonian young man, came to our weekly football group after being invited through a language course. He was passionate about football but more interested in making friendships and being in community.
Unfortunately on his first day he was injured by one of the other African players, who stepped on his heal and ruptured his Achilles tendon. He was in so much pain we didn’t know what to do but then one of our team members offered to pray for him and P finally agreed to be taken to hospital. Our team member stayed with him until the early hours of the morning and then we also drove him and his car home.
Some other members of our team went to his doctor the next day, purchased medication and prepared food for him. They also went to visit him and asked to pray for him again which he gladly received.
Ball Project is thankful for our partners in Germany (& Cameroon) & around the world working faithfully to serve their players & their communities & help children play.
