Here is an encouraging update from Admirals, one of our partners in Moldova:
As a basketball academy we see the need in sharing values in the world of sport. We want our players to have growing relationships with team members and in faith. We started a character study for them, in a year it grew up and now we are having 25 players, coaches, members of the family who are joining this group every Thursday.
It is a big joy for us to see how older players are coaching youngest ones and sharing lessons and stories with them on the daily basis.
Currently we have 5 teams of boys and girls of different ages who are coached every day!
Ball Project is thankful for our partners around the world working to build healthy communities & help children play!
For some reason several times in the last few weeks many of the conversations with partners seem to revolve around Moldova.
Ball Project has several partners in Moldova including Admirals Basketball. Another partner from Florida took baseball equipment to Moldova to help with baseball & English camps with another new partner. & our Ukrainian partner Last Bell sent one of their alumni to Moldova to be trained in soccer coaching by another one of our Moldovan partners currently working in Germany with refugees.
It is always encouraging to find out that good people are doing good things in their communities to help children play & it is fun to find out that they are all connected.
It’s a small world after all.
Ball Project recently made a grant to Admirals Basketball in Moldova to help Admirals could buy a portable basketball goal to help with their camps, tournaments & clinics around the country. Admirals got to put on a basketball clinic for a Fourth of July celebration.
Here are a couple of pictures from that event:
Ball Project is thankful for our partners working in Moldova & around the world to help children play! & thanks to all of our Ball Project donors who faithfully give & make it possible.
