Here is an update from a neighbor & new partner;
Last week I embarked on a my first trip to Tegucigalpa, Honduras with a group from my church, Immaculate Heart of Mary in Indianapolis. For the last 16 years, we have been sending down groups to serve at Sociedad Amigos de los Ninos. Each group is assigned a manual labor project, and we also bring down several suitcases of supplies for all the school children.
Thanks to The Ball Project, I was able to take down several soccer balls to give with the kids. I personally got to deliver a couple to a home with teenage boys, who were very excited to receive them.
Thanks so much Ball Project!!
Ball Project is grateful to our partners around the world & around the block who work each week to help kids play.
Three weeks ago I was with this partner while he was visiting the USA. He went home & quickly got back to work.
Here is a quick update from one of our Ball Project partners in Nigeria:
I have been away to some rural communities
conducting training for grassroots soccer coaches.
Find attached picture of kids in a community (Tunga Maje)
that benefited from BP soccer balls.
I will keep you posted on the library project.
We are working on the shelf’s and other materials.
Thanks for everything.
As always, we are grateful for our partners around the world helping children by helping children play.
Here is a short report from Nou Hope, one of our partners in Haiti:
Greetings. I was able to get more news and photos from previous funds dispersed to partners in Port au Prince for equipment purchased (through Foundations for Haitians). They purchased a basketball hoop and ball as well as a soccer goal (for street soccer) and a ball…. One thing to note is that even the really nice (and expensive balls) purchased in country don’t last long in the elements in Haiti. That’s been a bummer. Thank you!!
Even high quality soccer balls don’t last long on the dirt & rock soccer fields where a lot of our partners work. But they keep working & so do we. & the children keep playing. We are grateful for our partners around the world working hard to help children by helping children play.
