Greetings friends, God bless you, we share the corresponding report for Ball Project.

Thank God we were able to buy all the budgeted, three of the items (the pump for inflating balls, the cones and the bag or ball carrier mesh), we got them on sale, which allowed us to additionally purchase two indoor soccer balls, a ball of mini basketball and an additional jump rope, with this the totality of the requested budget was covered; God is good.

The indoor soccer balls and part of the material we are using in a soccer academy that we started in another town with two brothers, soccer coaches whom we are training.

With a great desire in our hearts to meet our goals for this year, we can say that we are off to a good start. Soon we will begin two more spaces where we will do leadership development using basketball as a tool.

Thank you very much, God bless you.

This is an encouraging update from one of our partners in Haiti, Play It Forward.

Academie du sport et de leadership /Play It Forward working through sport and leadership in Haiti. We use sport as a tool to mentor and develop young leaders. Sport is a unique opportunity that we have to work with children, youth and families. We are working with coaches and athletes to train and equip them to be godly leaders in the sporting fields, leadership and modeling. Currently, we are working with more than 130 coaches across Haiti and helping them form community leadership teams.

We use the Ball Project funds to supply our sport academy as well as 130 coaches all over Haiti who are affiliated with the movement. I meet with these coaches 3 times a year to keep them motivated in their work with children and to share the vision of working in communities through sport. I’m not able to supply all of them, so those who really catch the vision, show faithfulness in their work, and stay connected in our WhatsApp group are the ones who receive the sport equipment so they can work more effectively. These coaches receive training and sport equipment to work with thousands of children and youth in Haiti. With the Ball Project funds, thousands of children and youth are being transformed by learning who is God and how to be a leader in their community. They will be changed by living out the heart values. They will learn to make our community look better. They will understand the role of a coach in their life as a father who will help them to succeed in life.

Ball Project is thankful for our partners around the world working faithfully to develop young leaders, build community & help children play.

Here is an encouraging update from one of our partners in Guatemala:

Amigos de la Aldea is a Guatemalan organization, which originally focused on Rural Development in projects on solar energy, clean cook stoves and water filtration. More recently, ADLA has focused on the education and development of girls in rural communities. We believe that educated rural women play a key role in supporting their households and communities in achieving food and nutrition security, generating income, and improving rural livelihoods and overall well-being. As moms, they can foster Christian values, principles and traditions that keep our societies strong.

We are now supporting and providing scholarships to 120 girls based in Jalapa (eastern Guatemala) and looking to open another support project in Esquipulas in northeast Guatemala.

Since 2009 we have given over 750 full scholarships to rural children that include tuition, teachers, curriculum, books, supplies, backpacks and uniforms. We have also donated computer equipment and other facilities to improve education. We also have supported them with sports supplies and playground facilities but in a more limited way.

Thank you to Ball Project for helping support our effort to offer more options for the girls to do outdoor and sports activities for their well-being.
