Here is a great update from our partner Last Bell that works in Ukraine:
Last Bell works with about 200 youth every year. Some are only in their teens; others are grown with kids. Our Day Center is open several days a week, and it’s often packed, with youth using every game and piece of furniture in the room! Foosball is especially popular.
Three young men, all orphanage graduates, are part of our Restoration Project crew. They’re apprenticing to learn the home renovation trade while being mentored by our staff. Right now they’re renovating our Day Center, where our foosball, ping-pong, and other games are. It’s an important place to all of them – one even used to rush to the Day Center after every workday was over to make sure he spent time with our staff – and now they’re giving back as part of their job! Our games are a big part of the Day Center’s welcome, making it easy for our youth to be together and get to know our staff and each other. Games make everyone feel comfortable together.
Ball Project helped sponsor some of the games & equipment in the Day Center.
Ball Project is thankful for our partners in Ukraine & around the world working to help children play!
